Travel
The Florence airport, Amerigo Vespucci (FLR), is located about 20 minutes from Florence. Taxis from the airport have a reasonable flat fee, and there is also a very easy train that takes you to the city’s train station, Santa Maria Novella. Once in central Florence, the city is best explored on foot.
